Amanda Lepore, the pneumatic Downtown personality who bills herself as
"The #1 Transexual In The World With a Fully Functional Vagina,"
celebrated the debut of her hyper-glamorous new video, “Cotton Candy,”
last Sunday night at the Maritime Hotel’s chic Hiro Ballroom nightclub. Earlier the same evening she unveiled her boutique fragrance, Amanda eau de parfum, by Artwear Editions.
Directed by Bec Stupak and co-starring Cazwell (who also wrote and co-produced the song), “Cotton Candy” is the first single from Amanda Lepore’s forthcoming album, I…Amanda Lepore, to be released this summer on the NYC-based Peace Bisquit label.
Bespangled in a sci-fi silver and mirrors outfit, coiffed off with a Mars Attacks hairdo, Miss Lepore entertained the press, while fans and friends pinked-out on cotton candy (spun on the spot), red velvet mini-cupcakes and cotton candy cocktails by IS VODKA.
Loads of Downtown stars were in attendance, including Lance Bass, David La Chapelle, Michael Musto, Kenny Kenny, Patrick McDonald, Formika, celeb photographer from “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Mike Ruiz, designer Catherine Baba, Joey Israel, Clae Herring, Ludewigg, Tobell Von Cartier, fierce diva Sylvia Tosun and Peace Bisquit label-mates, The Ones (Nashom, JoJo Americo & Paul Alexander), Colton Ford and label owner Bill Coleman. DJ Honey Dijon kept the crowd spinning with classic disco confections. Amanda’s BFF, Cazwell (whose "I Seen Beyonce At Burger King" video was also directed by Stupake) was performing in Sao Paolo that night.
