DJ Pierre | DJ Pierre's Afro Acid Project
The publicity campaign for DJ Pierre's debut solo album, "DJ Pierre's Afro Acid Project" is temporarily on hold. Life happens: Pierre moved back to Chicago, gave birth to two wee afro acid heads and has been touring steadily, rocking fans old and new alike worldwide in anticipation of his first (believe it or not) solo album ever, which he's been carefully constructing over the last couple years.
DJ Pierre says, "'DJ Pierre's Afro Acid Project,' my very first album is what I've been consumed with. Its due out early next year so make sure you check it! I was blessed with a great lineup of artists on this project. A big thank you to all of them and others who were involved–Green Velvet, Louie Vega, Crumpdaddy, Seamus Haji, Tom Stephan, DJ Behrouz, E-Man, Hanna Hais, Dajae, Erica Darden, Felicia Graham, Atal, Zoo, Penetration, Mike M @Simply and Eyefuel media."

Pierre's Afro Acid Digital continues to rock steady, releasing new tracks on a regular monthly basis. Next up are releases from DJ Rhenault with remixes from Kid Massive, Deepfactor aka. DJ Kulbir and a new Roy Davis Jr. single. To date, all AAD releases have been digital, but a vinyl distribution deal is in the works. Check Beatport for other recent AAD releases by Johnny Fiasco, James Curd and the fierce Honey Dijon.
A remake of the deadly Sleezy D acid classic, "I've Lost Control," with remixes by Glenn Underground, and Afro Acid Digital roster artists Sean Nash, House Of Stank, M-TRAXXX M-TRAXXX, and Influx was just picked up by the near legendary International Deejay Gigolo Records. Originally planned as an AAD single, the boys over at Gigolo heard DJ Pierre aka Da MasterBlaster's Wildpitch mix and Glenn Underground's Old School Re-rub and snatched the track for themselves. Look for it to be released July 2008 and appear on a IDJGR compilation due late Summer 2008. Shhh: Bit of buzzing going on about Pierre's long-awaited debut album–"DJ Pierre's Afro Acid Project"–possibly sporting the IDJGR imprint upon its release.
Also in the works is a collaboration on an EP with Swedish duo Zoo Brazil. Two tracks with possible remixed. One track will be started by; the other by Zoo Brazil.
